What SMHI warns for

Warnings describe the expected impact on people and society, not just the weather. The same wind can be a yellow warning in one season and an orange one in another, depending on how much disruption it is likely to cause.

Yellow. Weather that can disrupt some activities and carries a risk of injury or damage. Keep up to date and plan ahead.
Orange. Severe weather that can be dangerous and cause significant damage and disruption. Follow the advice from the authorities.
Red. Very severe weather with a serious risk to life and major damage expected. Avoid travel in the area if you can.
Message. Information about weather that is worth noting but does not yet meet the warning thresholds.

A warning is shown here if SMHI lists Skåne County among its affected areas, or if the warning area drawn on the map overlaps Skåne and its coast. The second test picks up wind warnings for the sea that are tied to a stretch of coast rather than to the county. Times are shown in your device's local time.
