Lund sits a short way inland from the coast near Malmö, close enough to feel some of the same sea influence but far enough that a sunny afternoon and a clear, cold night can differ more than they would on the coast. It is one of the oldest towns in Sweden and home to Lund University.
Weather here can turn over more quickly than in Malmö or Helsingborg, since it is not held as steady by the sea. A front or a band of showers passing through often shows up first as a bigger swing in temperature than the coastal towns see.
